Mingle New Year’s Eve With Good Friends
Mingle New Year’s Eve …
Many people will mingle New Year’s Eve,
Good friends, good food, and good wine will party,
Or beer, what ever drink suits your fancy,
Celebration, food, and revelers hearty.
Some will stand outside in freezing cold,
Or some on a summer night down under,
To wait for the ball to drop from up high,
Or watch bright fireworks sounding like thunder.
Dance with their beloved in grand ball rooms,
Or attend smaller parties across town,
Friends will meet at local clubs and all sing,
Auld Lang Syne as New Year’s slowly comes down.
They all will take a full cup o’ kindness,
Just for the sake of old times, days bygone,
All those flames of old loves extinguished,
And never once will anyone reflect on.
Just before the midnight strikes lovers hug,
Take the last dance for that lingering kiss,
Whistles will blow, bells will chyme, to mark time,
As love is expressed true in total bliss.
As for me, eve in comfort I’ll spend,
In warm pajamas, slippers, a good book,
And mingle quietly with my best friend,
Silence, relaxing in my little nook.
In the silence I listen to the voice
Of my soul, and refllect on the year passed,
I look upon the path I took by choice,
To know what was right for me, what will last.
I will offer up grateful thanks, with love,
For all I have been given in this life,
And when I gaze at shining stars above,
I will know I have been truly blessed.
A blessed and Happy New Year to all.

Lovely sentiments Phyllis, and to you a healthy and rewarding 2018, and let us all join together to uplift human consciousness and find peace for a world in need. Take care.
Awww! Thank you Tony. I wish for you a healthy and rewarding 2018, too. I give thanks we are friends who appreciate each other. Yes – “let us all join together to uplift human consciousness and find peace for a world in need.” I stand strong with that. Take care.
