Human Arrogance and the Natural World

Each plant, each tree, each being held
within the purpose of life,
the connections unseen but profoundly felt,
when we accept life in all its forms and persuasions,
sharing the essence of what we all are, energy,
in the flow of conscious streams,
interconnected, accepted and poised
to be facets of one sublime entity within existence.
Reason forces a separate view,
as difference marks individuality,
yet at core we are made of stars,
the center and foundation of beginnings,
from which we all have evolved,
and regardless of differences
we are all connected deeply as
progressive expressions of evolving life.
We cannot deny life,
its expression as sacred as can be
within the master’s eyes,
and in that we cannot attest better or worth
for every living thing, just as unique and important
as every human soul,
never to be judged or overlooked in a spiritual sense,
for we are as one, despite illusion of difference.
Each plight of life, in its intricacy and complexity,
is unique and therefore as singularly important
as any other life, sharing environment
and the realities of the entity of earth,
energy to energy, connections and symbiosis
the foundation of our perceived reality,
and respect is simply acceptance, that we are never alone,
and always responsible for all.
The human enigma, is our arrogance,
belief that we are somehow better for our intellect,
yet we are the one’s who destroy environments,
deplete resources and ignore natural balance
to satisfy our greed and believed dominance,
yet because we can does not mean we should,
and for our sins and misguided beliefs
there will be consequence, from which I hope a learning.

Great piece, Tony, expressing one living, breathing entity. Many years ago I read in a book God was lonely, so sent out twelve angels to each create a being that was part of himself (God), so all in existence would be part of the One. It made a lot of sense to me and you have expounded on that very well. Nice work. This is why we should all care for and love all.
That’s what I believe Phyllis, we are all facets of souls in different lives in different times and as we progress we move closer to the whole, the perfection that is God, if you like. Take care
