The Moment of Finding

Tis now, alas, the moment of finding hath commenced

For my dreams have revealed the untold secrets

Threads of those days beyond and forever gone

Now tied tightly, bound in the knots of closure

For what has been, now remains as an echo of the past

A sound nearly silent, each passing moment fades

Finding, not discovery, but a moment of validation

The realization that what can be, must certainly be

Happening, still growing, and thriving in positivity

For this day marks a step forward, a step into eternity

History is written on the thick parchment pages

While life is lived in flower fields with golden rays

Hand in hand, heart with heart, souls as one

Lovers sprint eagerly into that world of wonder

Where the fireworks of love shower them with light

Each burst rains down with wonderment and magic

Not a single step matters, but every step matters

Every impression speaks of untold riches

Not of coin, but of emotion, of intimacy, and embrace

Value hath given a meaning new, a meaning true

Oh, how the moment of finding goes beyond depth

Not in this lifetime, shall want be of consideration

Neither barrier nor tangle shall impede progress

Words shall nary be sharpened for unseen combat

Great deeds in the lands of visions and spirits

Now completed, the questions finally given answer

Chains of the endless cycles are forever broken

The hand that moves the universe, certainly working

No curtain nor shroud shall hide the future

All possibilities await, moments reside, time continues

Our story has many chapters, many volumes

Each tale a myriad woven journey of happenings

Fates are for evidence, and connection is certain

That which has been whispered on prevailing winds

Drawing down, gathering near, calling as we sleep

Doors of the past closing, those of the future opening

What was a set of two, now a union called one

I write about everything and sometimes nothing at all. I'm fascinated by old things, rusty things, abandoned places, or anywhere that a secret might be unearthed. I'm passionate about history and many of my pieces are anchored in one concept of time or another. I've always been a writer, dating back to my youth, but the last decade has been a time of growth for me. I'm continually pushing the limitations of vocabulary, syntax, and descriptive phrasing.

I enjoyed reading this. It made me think carefully and I read it again to make sure I hadn’t missed anything! ‘The moment of finding’, not an ending but a beginning it itself, taking us on to the next and making a story – great!

By the way, is the anthology still a possibility? Did you have enough stories to consider?

PS: It seems that suddenly the comments have slowed down a lot, for quite a few of us. I have to admit I haven’t read as much lately but I’m trying to have a good read this week. Maybe it’s because of Spring and making the most of the sudden sunshine and new things (here anyway!).
