More Than Dreams…
Dreams carry me beyond the stars,
other realms and avatars to be,
and memories like birds in flight
circle my mind, each one I recall, so vividly
taken from my heart,
those feelings in which I was immersed,
come back with ardor, taking part
in aspects of my soul,
my whole, the array of many facets,
each one a life, a dream, of memories streamed.
Some I connect, remember the feelings,
of the fight, the loss and plight of other lives,
as if a film before my eyes,
but my heart realizes its authenticity,
the simplicity of truths in present, past and future,
a contiguous flow, as I write,
a timeless happening
that I know is real, for all it reveals to me,
as I perceive its distant calling,
a recognition of my path of learning.
I long to know more, to connect fully,
but I realise that is difficult, perhaps beyond me,
yet curious I am and wish to know,
to understand better my growth,
the lessons of my learning beyond this
my sentient life, my present sight;
so I must accept the dreams,
the fleeting flickers of truths
that touch my being from times unknown,
for me to sate and accept.
My soul yearns for the freedom of eternal scope,
eyes to see beyond the horizon,
where life prospers far from my imagination,
for my soul thirsts for the unknowable,
the questions we all harbor in our thoughts,
and the inkling measures in my dreams
just taunt me, so it seems,
as thought wanders the cosmos,
seeking light in every blackness,
promise in every light.
