When Pigs Fly
When Pigs Fly…
Remembering the yesteryears,
the days I could say,
in love were we,
together to be,
while you kept telling stories,
fooling me once,
fooling me twice,
I realized you would love me –
when pigs fly.
There seemed no doubt,
in my mind,
your eyes so dark and intense,
your lips demanding,
sweet words of love whispered,
words that would come true –
when pigs fly.
Through all my day,
the days of you and me,
making my wishes come true,
making me believe you loved me,
while you kept spinning tales,
that could only be believed –
when pigs fly.
Now tell me once again,
how roses have no thorns,
how the rain doesn’t make sugar melt,
how often you dream of me,
then let us go dancing,
just you and I,
I will listen patiently,
while you look about the room,
while i close my eyes and think of you,
then keep holding me for just a moment longer,
for that is all I know you can do.
The day we parted,
your eyes misted,
it was then you understood,
that my love was true,
that the kisses I shared,
were full of promise,
so when you said you wanted to stay,
to find a way to make me believe,
that you could change your ways,
I told you I would believe –
when pigs flew through the skies.
