Changes That Can Transform Our World
Changes are necessary in learning…
When life is bleak, how narrow our sight,
light-less rooms void of color,
hopeless thoughts in refuse and squalor,
and we see not answers in the gloom of affronts,
just the attesting of woe and all that confronts.
Within darkness the struggle for light,
is often the conflict of change,
that step that takes us on another path,
unknown but in possibility the aftermath of pain,
and new horizons for acceptance.
Our inner conflicts are the hesitancy of fear,
what we do not know,
yet we know so little to determine fate,
when all we have to do is take a chance on life,
let our paths allay the strife and move forward.
We are rarely kind to ourselves,
our expectations often unrealistic,
and when we let fear decide,
we negate all the positive possibilities that lay before us,
the changes that can transform our world.
