A travelogue is a piece of writing about travelling and the associated experiences the writer has both on the journey and at the destination.  Some writers are able to compose wonderful pieces about places they have never been using the experiences of others and understanding the local lore and geography of the focal place. A travelogue is an illustrated lecture or creative writing piece about the places visited and experiences encountered by a traveler, which can be used by others as a travel guide, or tourist guide, if they intend to visit the same areas. A well written article can be used as a reference guide by others.
