A Peaceful Place to Slumber

1.) Peaceful Place

To reach the foot of mountain

where water drips through moss

found a small hut by a cave

this verse left on door

To return to our nature

the spring of our existence

to learn everyday to add

new everyday

Morning Glory dies again

again and again dies

in the shade of lone pine tree

playing in the fields

Through all of life’s broken pain

a Skylark sings of all things

above garden being swept

snow is forgotten

When sky suddenly darkens

voices of the Wild Magpie

and a seldom seen bird of prey

are heard faintly, white

Though the heart will always dream

being fond is not Universal Love

pointing a useless finger

admire blossoms

2.)Peaceful

Still gardens always moving

faster than a stone mountain

will move slowly through all time

deeply written line

A tree whose trunk is twisted

deeply contorted, bulbous

place to slumber peacefully

a peaceful pleasure

Pine tree hangs moon on its branches

silent gaze on waterfall

sun on purple mountain peak

a delicate sound

A lake depths accidental

years of degeneration

beneath rock fallen on rock

silent erosion

A boat hidden in a creek

or deep within dark marshland

though maybe stolen away

is considered safe

Long river cascade of stars

mountain rose sits quietly

clouds invited by the wind

within foreign sky

3.)Slumber

Unfillable emptiness

a bottomless canyon gulf

where birds of prey begin flight

tree sits on the edge

To stay cool like autumn day

old age gives me contentment

life gives me a job to do

body gives me place

Echoes of birds weeping spring

along windy slope of stone

a lake cleared by a new rain

stars seem hung by wire

Earth nothing but ruthless gift

place of strife lowest valley

tempest around each corner

few words to describe

As most fish swim upstream

lifes moves gently around me

enjoying “uncontrolled ease”

wandering mountains

Along green landscaping

Canadian Geese return

wader these suburban streets

under hazy moon
