Breaking Free From Negativity
Rising question, modern day
So many souls have lost their way
Novel thoughts upon the shelf
Forces strong, seek something else
Influence, the cultist tool
In selling you their stagnant pool
Peddling flesh and faithless crowds
With expectations amongst the clouds
If only step behind and see
The curtain thick and menacing
Deepest wells and rabbit holes
Scars upon some worthy souls
Dark and bleak, and negative
Whispered as a sedative
Pull you down and modify
Surrender every thought goodbye
Think the way we say to think
If we snap, you take a drink
This vision screen, the only choice
Guiding sounds, the playing voice
Trapped it feels, the exit shuttered
Maze then cast, blocked, and cluttered
Your inner voice begs you escape
Rapture from the endless tape
Searching wild, but answers naught
Budding fear that you’ll be caught
But questions drive your need to move
Time grows short, how to improve?
How to break from dark to light?
Shed teary eyes to clearer sight
Narrow vision to wide and open
Free in thought, away from slogans
This cycle demands captivity
Foundation built on negativity
Spiral spins and spinning more
Beyond the depths, beyond the floor
First stop and breathe, hold no glance
Life is full of future chance
You wear no shackles, neither chains
No nanobots within your veins
Illusion plays the game of mind
The choice was yours, to be confined
Steps are simple, yet quite complete
Find the source, then plan release
Pull the plug, then step away
Hide your ears from what they say
Answers won’t come in your seclusion
But careful choice, and much exclusion
Place value on your own energy
Share it wise, and expertly
Cut those cords, and shed the weight
Create some room to contemplate
Make a pact, and see it through
Find your path, and trust in you
