A Salesman’s Most Important Presentation Yet…

Just me, explaining myself through Poetry words. Words that have been in my head for years. Now…inviting you to read and see what you think? A Salesman is well rehearsed in what he says. He delivers his message right on point. And…should the one listening to the Salesman’s Presentation be able to follow along through the whole thing…they might actually get something out of it.

I made a promise before the Lord that I would always gear my writings so that a message or two would be able to Glorify him. In looking at my writings of recent years…I may have missed that mark over the past couple or so…of writings (or more…smiley face inserted here). So please…allow me to write and bounce ideas…with this theme in mind…from someone who really and truly loves the Lord. And…considers Jesus…his Savior. I would appreciate you reading this one…even if it is “not your style”. You never know…the careful thought out words of a Salesman might just truly reach out to you!

A Salesman’s Most Important Presentation Yet…

May be one you least expected…one you may never forget.

“Step Right Up”; And…have I got a deal for you…

If You got’ta few minutes…hang with me…until I’m through.

I have a deal for you…and I have to admit…It is pretty good…

I also admit that most won’t give it the consideration that they should.

The complexity of this particular perplexity…is…of course…where to begin…?

An “Age Old Story.”…concerning Death, Eternal Matters, Belief, and even Sin.

You still with me…I know I just threw out some words…you didn’t want to hear…

That’s OK…You can go on your way; Go back to sleep; Change the channel; Have another beer.

Because…well, what I am about to sell ya’…

Is nothing I have any control of…I’m just an “Ordinary Fel-la’ “.

What’s even greater than this is well…it is completely “Free”…

Hang on and join my way of thinkin’…be sure and note… it’s not about me.

“What does it take to fight a battle? How do you win a War?”

Listen…I am starting my sales pitch…from an angle you may not of heard of before.

To stay in the fight…the ultimate one…A fight for your very soul…

Whoa, the temperature is rising…A “Supernatural Battle” over you…before the “Bell Toll”.

A life long journey…set in place and geared for you…selected individual-ly…

Be assured…there is a battle being waged over you…per-son-al-ly.

You Say: “Mr. Salesman…That Would be Preachin’ a Bit…I’ve heard what you’re Sellin’…”

Well A Salesman is trained for Adverse Objection…It is “Free” for me to keep on talking…It’s not a “Felon”.

You see of all the Features and Benefits…I have to make my point…

Not one of them is going to Matter…the Second you are out’ta this here joint.

Not all the Preachin’ in the World…will matter at the time of your final breath…

That is when the “Deal of Lifetime” will kick-in on your behalf…Upon your Death.

That is what you need to plan for in advance…Like any good Business Decision…

That is when the Option you selected…will be enforced without more clarification.

A Contractual Arrangement made Prior to your Passin’ from Earth…

A Decision…You had plenty of time to make….Sometime after Birth.

For Some it was Innocence that changed and you became more aware of the World all around…

For Some it was the Understanding that you needed time to figure it all out…on level ground.

For Some…You more or less…Moved the Goal Post…to suit your own taste…

Losing Track of the Moments…the Seconds…that are now gone…What a Waste!

The Others…didn’t know for sure…Because…Well, God and Religion have so many “Rules”…

Whoops….Your time is up…Do you want to stand in line with all the fools.

I know it is your Choice to Decide…and Yes…It is Wrong for Me to Judge…

But, Forgive a Simple Salesman…Looking for a Way to Close the Deal…with a slight nudge.

“I don’t believe this Story”…How could “such and such” a thing be True?

Now, when your fleeting life is over…Then (?)…You will make up your mind what to do?

Sorry Dude…(or M’am)…that was not part of the deal…

We had plenty of time to talk and think it over…No More “Contract Pending”…No Matter how you feel.

There is no Verbal Agreement that States that at Time of Death…We will Negotiate…

That’s what your Lifetime was for…Good or Bad…Short or Sad…No More Time for Debate.

Your Actions, Beliefs, Behavior and What you Decided…

Lie on the Earth’s Side of the Veil…and have already been confided.

A Lifetime of looking forward…Knowing One Day…it will all End…

It’s a simple concept…a Kindergartner gets it…It is called “Death”…My Friend.

Where do you stand on that day…Trust me when I came to tell You…

No Man Can Serve Two Masters…That is Impossible…for anyone to do.

A Salesman can Respond to “No’s”…And can Certainly be Persistent…

He Presses On through Rejection…and Certainly Not in the Least: Acquiescent.

A Salesman may take “All the Time in the World” to complete a Deal…

Or have you Sitting Down…Signing your Life Away…before you even “kicked one wheel”.

It is all in the Method of their Approach…And Make No Doubt…Some are well-rehearsed.

When It comes to Wrapping it All Up in a Neat Package…Many Salesmen are well-versed.

Just know that when you sign on the dotted line…Who you can trust…

Some Folks really “got-your-back”…While…Some will throw you under the Bus !

Look to the Salesman…who is not putting you under any Pressure to Buy…

For that Salesman…He loves his Job…though you may not understand why.

His Salary is “Paid-In-Full”…He doesn’t need you to make his Commission…

His only Job is to Persuade you with enough Information to make a Good Decision.

At the End of the Day…He takes Coat in Hand…And Walks Humbly to his Car…

Points His Way Home to the House…Travels his way Home…Near or Far.

Thinks to himself…Did I say all the right things…Did I choose all the right words…

Did I lean too hard on a certain point…Lack Empathy…or discuss well past the absurd?

Did I present my case too long…Could I smooth out my in-tro…Was I too trite…

I’ll fix it all for the next time…I want everything…I say to come out…just right !

Meanwhile…the ones exposed to all he had to say…

Have gone Merrily on…their own normal ordinary way.

And, Never Gave the Salesman’s Pitch…Another Thought…

Did they heed his careful constructed Wisdom ? Perhaps they ought.

Because the whole time…they were thinking the Salesman was doing all this for his own benefit…

They should have listened to his true heart…Understood the sincerity in his Wit.

He was making the Pitch of a Lifetime…One Day they would know…No Doubt…

And find out the Salesman knew Exactly what the Deal was all About.

Every Word…Every Pause between Lines…Every Delivery Point He Made…

Was Meant from the Moment He Began…to make the exact point to persuade.

The Salesman knew…Oh Yes…He knew the whole big picture…with great detail…

His Every Word…His Only Purpose was very intent upon your knowing…without fail.

A Monumental Task for him to Close the Deal without Rebuttal and with a solid “Yes”…

A Task that is very hard to do…And Some have tried to no avail…I would guess ?

But He Stood Before You…and Boldly Pitched in a manner of thoughtful refrain…

His Only Purpose…”Let them know what Lies Ahead”…He tried so adamantly to explain.

A Salesman gives his Pitch…whether you like him or not…

A Salesman makes his Pitch….Because sometimes that’s all he’s got.

During the Pitch…Did you see the Message…Did the Salesman get his Point across?

Make sure and listen all the way through…Because if you don’t…It will be your loss.

Let the Salesman present the facts and information that makes his point in a clear format…

So that you are the one that is the wiser…well before your own… aftermath.

Where do you want to spend Eternity…Do not become lost in all the complexity…?

There is a decision to make…a Choice that is not that hard…look at the basic simplicity.

Quite Frankly…What I am trying to Sell you is completely: Free…

Human Beings have made this something much Harder than it needs to BE !

Someone…a Very Special Someone Came Along and Died for You and Me…

This Man helped the lame to walk…the Sick to be healed…the blind to see.

The Rest…is How they say…you know: History…

What we take away from it is up to You and Me.

Man spends a lot of time sorting and analyzing the “why” and the “what for”…

Just make sure…that in your “Perplexity”…You know what ultimately is in store.

There are no games…There are no lies…Everything is set before you plain-ly…

Those who knock on the door…those who seek will find…and those who seek will see.

Look at the Particular Craft of the Salesman…who makes his point…yet forgets to mention…

That he has gone on and on to make his point…and yet still holds all your attention.

The Salesman before Death gives you many a carefully thought out word…

Don’t be too busy judging him…that you don’t see he wields a two-edge sword.

Perhaps you don’t listen to him because he enunciates too loudly on each and every verb…

And forces too much information upon you…which should be left for a YouTube comment blurb.

Now…lets get down to where you confidentially agree to sign your name on the bottom line…

Do it now before it is too late…Don’t be among those that take Forever to sign.

I mean…After all…People spend so much time being skeptical of the final outcome…

But…What if it’s too late to decide…when your final Moment on Earth is done.

There is no reason to take for granted…a Gift of Life in Eternity…from above…

There is One who came to this Planet to teach Mankind Spiritual Ways in Love.

And to this day…it has been proven that there was no fault found in him…

Yet…we struggle with our own beliefs…Find it hard to believe that we are lost in Sin.

Do me a favor…before I leave my final thought with you…at this time…and on this day…

At this particular moment…the thinking you have right now…make sure there is no delay.

Get ready to “Seal the Deal”…and see where ever it is that your Heart takes you…

Your “Spiritual Quest”…Should not rest…until you have followed every Path…you know to do.

For all the words that Someone tells you…which includes People you really respect…

May not be the Words you need to hear…Search your Heart thoroughly…Closely Inspect.

In the End the only thing that will matter is what you have going on in the inside…

Is it Silly to have your own thoughts on “Spiritual Matters”…In the End you can’t run from God or hide.

That is really the final point I need to say…before I bring my Sales Presentation to a close…

A Central Point made in this lengthy Poem…an underlying thought…I tried hard to Expose.

We really all just need to focus on what is really most important while we are on this Planet…to each of us…

Perhaps there is business to finish…while there is time…I know I made my “Peace” with a Righteous One Who Came To Earth: Jesus.

    Very nice…I enjoy the salesman selling a plan for the beyond…a spiritual salvation per se…the points the salesman works on are sound logical spiritual selling points…I have to admit one or two fuel my spiritual journey…great work here Steve. My prayers. Jamie

    Wonderful pitch, Steve, and inspirational. I gave my faith and belief in Jesus when I was a child, thanks to my Dad who had unshakeable faith and prayed more than anyone I have ever met. He had a beautiful soul and left a legacy for me to admire and follow. Great work here, Steve. Well done. Hugs and blessings to you.

      Glad you liked the “sales pitch”, Phyllis. Thank you for your wonderful comment and for reading this one. Glad to hear of your faith and belief in Jesus. I see from your comment that your father helped helped guide you in an unshakeable faith and left a legacy of faith and prayer with you. My father also helped guide me in faith and belief when I was a child. I am so grateful to have started way back in the day…it helped build a lifetime journey with Jesus by my side. Wouldn’t have made it this far with out him…that’s for sure! I am sure that you can relate.
