A Mixture of Thoughts…
A message comes from the heart of this writer…
Get out into the midst of it…You are a fighter,
Your outlook on the world can become much lighter,
Though Lady Justice is blind…You will have yours…Despite her.
The point is that a poem has a point or perhaps a plan…
Something that needs to be shared with every man,
All the time…my words come from brain to hand,
So…this poem lands pretty close to where I stand.
Drive into your future…and forget your past…
Leave without warning…while the opportunity lasts,
Shift it into gear…and head out down the road fast,
Ready to live life on the road again…which can be a blast.
Sometimes “Reality” can be a real b_tch…
And force you off the road…and into a ditch…
Turning you over and over…’til you don’t know which end is which…
Yet, words can right all wrongs to set you straight…What a privi-lege.
A discouraged mental attitude…is all wrong…
Especially when you don’t have a positive song,
Get out and live…your days aren’t that long,
Whatever doesn’t kill you…makes you strong.
Oh…This “Mixture of Thoughts” inside my head…
They overcome my thinking…Go visit someone else instead.
A precarious mix of a wanton brew…I wish were dead…
It turns me ’round and ’round…I typed ’til my fingers bled.
Forget all your worries and stay awhile…
It will work out…I tell you with a smile,
Poems forged by fire here on Earth…after many a trial,
Are given true wisdom conveyed through a poetry style.
You may not understand this “Mixture of Thoughts” I say?
Perhaps you will get the message…Some time…Some way…
So ends this “Mixture of my Thoughts” for this day…
Press on…Manly Poetry Man…Move forward without delay!
Yet, I say…
A purpose without an intention…
A thought given that I won’t mention,
A crowd stands up without a petition,
And recites a mandate with a whole new rendition.

Now, it is time for me to go and write in a "Poet-icized" manner like those long ago “Men of Old” Poets would’ve once long ago done it. They have primarily inspired me to write Poems in a manner that is “Manly” like how they use to write Poetry.

Love your ‘manly poetry! It came over, to me, in a rap rhythm. I’m not usually a fan of rap but I think this style suits your subject. The rhymes and rhythm give a punch to all those thoughts and it certainly got me thinking! Get up and enjoy life, I say. Well done!
Glad to hear that you enjoyed the “Rhythm” to this one and Loved the “Manly Poetry”! Poetry definitely has its own rhythm…and having a rap rhythm going along to this one…is even better. (Probably, the rhythm in my brain is closer to old 70’s Country songs since those songs are continually playing in my head.) And, I appreciate the “Well Done”…very much. Steve, after reading Ann’s comment I have to agree that this also *ives me the impression of the beat of a rap song. Maybe because of the consistent rhyme scheme..which they have in common. Loved the poem.

Maybe, my Poetry can also make it on another whole new genre! I’m going to start working on putting down a beat with this one…Ha!
