A Love Like No Other
A Love Like No Other
Moments come and quickly pass
Thoughts seem to go the same way
Memories fade like the setting sun
Just a few of the sweetest remain
The noise of everyday will go away
Leaving only pictures in our mind
Through the years, we’ve seen it all
Done the things we heard about
Saw the sites that we had to see
Stood in some lines, drew others
Surf, sand, shoreline, and stone
Forest trails, streams, and rivers
Watched the flowers bloom
Until the chill of winter arrived
Everything seems to be changing
And yet one thing that remains
The story of a boy and a girl
A great journey of two lovers
Both sharing a single soul
Watching with wide starry eyes
And listening without a sound
Never missing all that was lost
Embracing instead what they found
Swimming deep in the sacred pool
Flights of fanciful freedom
Hand in hand across their forever
Never surrendering an inch
Instead growing an extra mile
Testing the uncharted expanse
Jumping with both feet forward
And loving like nothing else mattered
For what else is worth living
If not a life of endless perfection
Where all turns eventually are up
And walls are new foundations
Building castles to infinity
And love is without conditions
The epic story of a man and a woman
Holding hands and holding space
Where one goes, so does the other
And forever is just a metaphor
For permanently and forever one
The love keeps growing
Energies continue flowing
And both of them always knowing
In this life and the ones thereafter
They will always be together
A love like no other…
