Daydreams Incorporated

A

Imagine daily

a jungle to discover

finding foliage

holding rare unknown blossom

as you water your houseplants

One reason to walk

from daydream to another

a separation

multiple segments of film

found on a splicing room floor

Though now feel older

no worry about lost time

a lost dreaming youth

mostly found nostalgic joy

a side of Angel Food Cake

Danger lurks in dreams

our lives require footing

stronger foundation

ones built from good decisions

not built from high in the air

Dream relationships

a place of no connection

map of loneliness

worlds fade into another

before the intimacy

B

Daydreams of a home

as this one is being built

a hidden function

of this keen ability

Daydreams Incorporated

Colors bring surprise

as balloons release at Fair

clowns of a circus

who perform on center stage

speaking in foreign language

Trees during seasons

pictures of the last leaf held

branches of winter

noticing the first green bud

all in dreams and nothing more

A daydream of the wind

of tree sap of life in lawn

if I was in love

how far could we move the world

dream of holding grandchildren

Life spent in daydream

like every life has this

many ups and downs

miracles of birth and death

deep or light hearted chuckle

C

Write each step on walk

the weather a fantasy

classic hero tale

to fight monsters in the clouds

to fight for the fallen vain

No regret of dreams

never wish to be empty

of all the stories

to feel the textures of a scene

sudden familiar smells

To wake from dream

wave to my next door neighbor

find proper greeting

not conversation hello

I am glad you live next door

Daydreams Incorporated

into livable packages

segments with address

as a letter is opened

all the dreams spill to the floor

Gather the weather

a way to explain change

in conversation

comfortable salutation

“So how is the weather there?”
