A COVID-19 Christmas
A COVID-19 Christmas
A COVID-19 Christmas
Thank God another Christmas is here,
spread the joy and yuletide cheer.
Though so much has been curtailed,
Christmas has not been derailed.
We’ll still rejoice and celebrate
though in a slightly lesser state.
Hang your tree and place your gifts,
let your dampened spirits lift.
Just celebrate with family close,
avoid the dreaded COVID dose.
Prepare the dinner, wrap the presents,
make this Christmas more than pleasant.
Remember those who are alone,
or prisoners in nursing homes,
with family not allowed to visit.
This hasn’t been the best year, has it?
The New Year follows close behind,
I hope it is a better kind.
Vaccines it seems are here to stay,
Let’s hope the virus has had its day.
