Winds of Change
Winds of Change
The winds about me,
blowing free and wild,
summon a change,
that is soon to come.
Steely gray skies,
high up above,
haven’t seen a fluffy white cloud,
in so many days.
It is the winds of change,
that always usher in a new season,
giving one a reason,
to change to a new path,
find a new way
and put behind what has been.
Dwelling on the past,
is not something that will last,
so when the winds of change,
come blowing –
just let them take you away.
I know that soon,
the autumn weather,
will change over to winter
and those silvery, white flakes,
will begin to fall.
These days are so dark,
that it makes me sigh,
for it seems that the day,
has just begun,
when the late afternoon –
brings on the dark of night.
Late autumn afternoons,
bring on early twilight,
with evenings so very long,
that they are just right,
for inspiration and dreaming
by candlelight.
Winds blow about,
bringing change,
wishing they could,
take away the silvery gray,
just to see a brilliant blue sky,
in the now frozen,
crystal clear air –
before the snow starts to fly.

Thank you, Phyllis,
Rasma you have written a beautiful poem. Sometimes I need the winds of change to push away the grey. Jamie
Thank you, Jamie.
The only thing we can be certain of is that there will be change…in the seasons and everything else in life. Nice work Rasma.
Thank you, John. As the say, the winds of change are always blowing…
