Stars in Their Eyes
They met quite by chance,
at an old-fashioned dance,
together they met the dawn
and knew that they had seen love.
Hand in hand.
they continued on,
as love grew.
for them, it was always like new –
with stars in their eyes glowing.
There were times,
that she wondered –
What was on his mind?
but his kiss told her it was all fine.
Then she saw the stars in his eyes
and knew why,
her love for him –
would never die.
He often wondered,
what had made him,
see her but once
and have his heart skip a beat.
It was her smile,
her gentle touch,
that made him love her –
so very much.
As time went on he knew,
that to her he would always be true,
never any doubt about tomorrow –
hand in hand they wandered on.
Once there was a time,
when he wondered
What was on her mind?
She seemed so distant that time.
Then he saw the stars in her eyes
and he knew why,
his love for her –
would never die.
The stars were for dreaming,
the moon shined the light,
that brought them together –
dancing in the night.
The sun has shown the way,
to every bright day,
just the two of them,
just as it should be.
Then came the rain,
when she would complain
and he waited until –
her smile chased the storm clouds away.
Whenever he would frown,
she thought of a way,
to turn it upside down –
kissing all his cares away.
Days were for chasing rainbows,
dreaming of times to come,
loving each other –
till the day was done.
Nights spent sharing,
the passion they had,
loving one another –
till the darkness faded away.
If any of them had any doubts,
that their future wouldn’t be bright,
they shared tender kisses –
knowing they were meant for one another.
Then they saw the stars,
shining in both their eyes
and they knew why –
their love for one another would never die.
