Tropical Dreams

Take me to a tropical paradise,

where palm trees sway

and the air is filled with magnolia scent.

Somewhere on an island far, far away,

trade winds whisper songs of love –

just for you and me.

Let’s drift upon a river

and imagine we’re drifting,

on a tropical sea.

Swinging in a boat,

blown by the breeze,

where the only light –

comes from the moon above.

While a gleaming silver bridge,

stretches across the sea,

making it glitter like diamonds,

shining in the night,

it shines upon our love,

it shines for you and me.

Tropical dreams,

as the moonlight through the clouds streams,

hand in hand,

just you and me –

in a tropical paradise for two.

Put on the melodies we adore

and soon we’ll be drifting,

where ukuleles strum,

lovely melodies,

bringing to us tropical dreams.

Take me in your arms,

hold me close

and let’s dance,

while you sing romantic songs,

then as we close our eyes and dream,

before you know it,

in the tropics, we’ll be.

Stepping out of our love boat,

upon the sand,

there to sit side by side –

content in our love.

As palm trees softly whisper

and the silvery moon glows above,

the waves come lapping to shore,

sharing the lullabies of the sea –

bringing to us the sweetest tropical dreams.

We can dream through the night,

in our love so right,

sharing tropical dreams –

until the sun comes shining bright.
