My Heart Beats Faster
You have always owned my heart,
with each word you utter like drums,
my heart beats faster –
so always be near me, never take away your love.
It is your special love,
that gives wings to my heart,
making it soar in time to the rhythm.
Ever longing you to be near
and always calling me dear.
Every time I see you smile, faster are the beats,
I know it is you I love,
always you’re close to my heart.
Right from the very start,
while dancing in the dark,
candlelight flickering –
our love so very right.
My heart always beats faster thinking of your love,
each day and each night,
hand in hand we’d stroll,
watching the light fade from the sky.
Then like little lanterns in the dark,
stars would start glittering one by one.
Together we’d need no words,
our hearts beating as one,
kisses full of passion –
making love’s embers burn brightly.
It is a world for lovers only,
where hearts beat faster,
where words of love,
whisper softly
and love songs play –
with the strings of the heart.
Where two by two,
lovers stroll beneath the moon,
where dreams are woven,
with silver fairy dust.
Where kisses are shared,
always offering love so true
and hearts beat faster…

Such a romantic verse and love so blissful. Nicely penned, Rasma – an enjoyable read.
Thank you, Phyllis
Quite beautiful – it literally drips of romance
Thank you, RJ.
I’m almost 65 and yet as a man I know that romance is the bread of life , amazing writing !
Thank you, Ed. The love of my life passed on and so, even though I agree about romance for the rest of my life I go on alone.
I’m so sorry for that Rasma , our hearts here beat with yours you know . The truest value of all known love is in each individual heart , especially when alone . May your days remain blessed in knowing only the best love .
So please continue to “tell ” us your love .
Thank you, Ed and I will.
Rasma your love poetry is still as fresh as the first line I ever read. Thank you. Jamie
You’re welcome, Jamie.
