Love as Warm as the Sun
Love is as warm as the sun,
as bright as a summer’s day.
It possesses the heart
and makes it beat faster.
Love is as expressive,
as words of true love –
as wonderful
as the soft clouds up above.
Love can be as cold,
as the coldest frost in winter.
Leaving hurt and silence behind –
when what you thought was true love,
has withered and died,
like roses upon the vine –
as cold autumn winds,
come blowing in.
Then comes the spring waltz,
with flowers in rainbow hues,
love becomes new again
and the heart again finds wings.
Summer love can be strong,
dancing through the summer days,
always finding ways to say –
love you today and tomorrow.
The moon serenades lovers,
stars shine ever brightly,
as the magic summer nights drift by.
Love can be as joyful as a new beginning –
when new love is found,
with the joy of first kisses.
Love can thrill you
and it can nearly kill you.
Love has more intrigues –
then the stories some tell.
Love brings on the smiles –
that brighten each day.
Love brings on the tears,
like storm clouds gathering
and you know that it will soon rain.
However after each rainfall,
a rainbow stretches across the sky.
There’s always hope –
that a new love will appear.
Love can delight
and disappoint but what would life be,
without any love to have and to hold –
always as warm as the sun.
