As Long As

As long as the stars,

still shine brightly at night.

As long as the sun,

follows me in the day

and the moon comes out at night,

to play.

I have no doubt,

that the world is still spinning

and each day more wonders it brings.

As long as the rains,

come to refresh weary nature,

the seasons each have their wonder,

the colorful splendor of autumn,

the lovely white world of winter,

the awakening of nature in the spring

and the glory of nature and flowers,

in the summertime.

My heart rejoices,

at all it sees

and my mind reels –

from the wonders all about.

There is so much joy.

that nature brings to us

and every day there is something to smile about.

As long as the winds keep blowing

and the clouds sail through the sky,

there is much beauty –

in this world of ours.

No matter how rough things may get,

no matter what each new day brings,

I know that I’ll see it through –

with faith from above

and that the Lord will guide me,

from each sunrise to each sunset,

to look upon each new day,

as a bright beginning

and a renewed hope for a brighter tomorrow –

as long as I’m still a part of this wonderful world of ours.

As long as there is hope, love will prevail in some form. Welcoming each day with a spring in our step, love in our heart and praise and honor to our higher power will squash any negatives that attempt to overthrow our positive hearts and souls. Being gratefull for life itself is definitely empowering. Beautifully expressed Rasma. Well penned.

Beauty, wonder, and the forces of nature are always there when we look for it, as you do, Rasma. Your poem is inspirational and lovely. Well done.
