The obvious is rarely the underlying truth,
yet for the most part it is accepted readily,
as obvious is an easy riddle to solve,
yet a resolve wanting, if truth to be known,
and how many traps has this thinking shown.
It is not a lack of trust, simply a must
to trust that truth is far deeper than it presents,
and in that a work of seeking,
a process of not relying on an opinion,
but delving into the process of an end result.
One could become cynical,
as what is purported is so often lies,
or at least untruth, yet to be furnished as a measure,
for many take the easy road, the acceptance of
their melding paradigm: as long as it fits its alive.
I take not their stride, rather flex my muscle
and delve headlong into the stew of lies
that so often surrounds any truth,
tarnishing any good and yielding it inadequately inept,
just short of any truth worth keeping.
I listen to the stew of bubbling lies every day,
egos and propensities alive with passion,
yielding their beliefs through constructed wrongs,
making truth a hero, no compromise,
yet a lie in a tuxedo, is still a lie.
Honesty is a ideal without an ego,
for it seeks truth despite wants and paradigms,
as honesty believes reality to be stoic,
and delusion the play of fools,
when truth is compromised for the sake of self.
