So Over the Dramas

So Over the Dramas
So Over the Dramas

Too much the weight of others,
when tribulations and dramas set
effect all the bystanders,
and I reject the invitation,
the vortex of circumstance that draws us in,
and in emotive seduction claims our care,
when care we should not
the upheaval of those seeds of despair.

Left wanting, the aftermath of drama,
and we stretched to new boundaries
suffer the indignity of being a witness,
to just another play of attention,
of suffering and being the victim,
a cycle that has nothing to do with us,
yet we so kindly take the bait
and immersed we sate the repetition.

Drama I don’t need, life’s a challenge already,
and who shares their ills just for show,
is no friend but a foe, for all their hysterics,
and no longer will I adjust my life
to accommodate this,
for it is not being supported they need,
just a companion for their downward spirals,
and my heart can no longer take it.

So acquaintances all with this leaning
have now left my abode,
rode off into the sunset with all that baggage,
and I with a welcomed sigh, bid farewell,
as I enjoy my quiet life,
positive thoughts and lack of strife
to mark my days,
so keep away you recalcitrants.

Keep theatre in your domain,
no dramatic refrains for me,
for silence bares much to a quiet, introspective soul,
seeking peace and to be whole,
not strung by insanity, dragged away in pain,
for having a part at all in the arc of life’s right boot,
something that’s now in my thinking,
quite moot.

If your name’s drama, be gone,
I’m done with you, my lifetime’s filled with you,
and I need not review one moment,
long passed the days to care
what jam you’ve created,
leave me be, I am serene,
and your character bleeds me dry,
so don’t try to include me.

No drama here Tony, second stanza a mild correction needed my friend. Bate, correct spelling bait:-)) I too often have misguided typo’s, why? our minds working to fast and our fingers even faster. I totally agree with this work of “Be gone Drama” I was over them years ago, I refuse to get involved in the middle or even near the edge of other’s dramas brought upon themselves and where they may try to draw me in as well. I say be gone and they leave. I live a very reclusive, peaceful and carefully chosen few friends I from time to time will socialize with, but crowds I avoid, thus the drama as well. I have no time nor will I give up it to drama from others wasted lives of gossip and story telling nonsense. Well expressed my friend, I enjoyed the banter. May you always find peace and keep it close to your heart and soul. Cheers

Thanks for the typo Vincent, probably because I was watching Bates Hotel last night on Netflix. Lol, Glad, you enjoyed the banter, my friend, a drama is something I don’t want in my later years. Cheers!
