Misty Morn…a collaboration

Beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder, and in poetry we try to pass that vision on, to be experienced and felt as we do. Our renderings are filled with angst, doubt, and we generally wear our hearts on our sleeves, each time we place before you, our thoughts. In short poetry, it is even more precisely rendered, for those fewer words must address the intent, ascribe beauty and meaning in a way that connects to the reader’s heart.
It is not a task for the faint-hearted, as simple as a piece may seem, there are usually hours spent on reviewing and re-assessing each word, phrase and the feelings evoked. Never easy to satisfy any artist, no matter the art, for we, in our pursuit of perfection, struggle for each inch of forward movement. It is simply the nature of creativity, and probably the nature of those who live by it.
Short poetry for me can be strengthened by visual input, and combining both photography and poetry is a clever adaptation of both genres. I find it exhilarating in working within the parameters of visual information to render poetic words of worth and hope you enjoy this piece in both words and then with the photograph. Enjoy
Misty Morn
‘The mist avows the silence of morn,
the breaking light transfused,
and life does stir with the beckoning
of another day anew,
and hearts attest the sombre white,
fallen clouds from the longest night,
to hope for blue skies into sight,
to crown as day ensues.’

Tony, you are doing wonderful work with this very artistic skill. I am very impressed with your experience, which you apply to your new works, and very impressed with this piece – it is lovely. Great work, indeed. Take care dear friend.
So pleased you are impressed, Phyllis, I think the idea is great and the images just give the words a boost to another level. It’s most gratifying too to get such a positive response and my readership is now up to nearly 55,000. Quite amazing numbers for about three weeks of posts. Take care.
With your mastery of the word and beautiful poetry, I knew you would be just taking off like a jet plane one day. So happy for you my dear friend.
Thanks, Phyllis, but I’m not going anywhere. Unfortunately with poetry, it’s not really a money earner for anyone. I just love the art. Take care.
Well, I understand – I did not make it clear that I am referring to your readership growing so fast, which is wonderful. Take care.
