Lost loves in other words
Lost loves …
Lost loves in other words
They said she was bewitched in loving but I know that she wasn’t
just too kind hearted to hurt us all
Now you come along and say she’s lost something
with her needle and her fall
She was just too kind hearted you said “She wouldn’t hurt a soul”
I said don’t worry men like us hurt all over
Now though she’s gone and who knows where
I know this though I’ll go look for her
Found her in the ditches of the city alongside strangers though
close enough to offer comfort
And I left her there in the dying throw’s of aids
there are more things than love that hurt
She looked me in the eyes when she awoke
and said “Your heart and mine should have had it all ”
I know I said as she passed into eternity
she died there in the fall
So we’ll love again maybe on some astral plane
how much worse could love hurt there
All human indifference will there be missing
where all in love is fair

A haunting and sorrowful poem, Ed, with heart-felt expression. Well done. Take care.
Wow, very powerful Ed with a message for all.
Yes, Ed, that was a powerful piece, with a biting realisation that there is much hurt in the world. Nicely rendered and evocative my friend.
Thank you much each of you for your continuing support of our craft , as much as we infuse art into this craft there are certain personal realities that fuel us no ? I was thinking of loved ones either our own or of others that have gone unclaimed for one but also unchanged throughout our lives , Thank you all !
