I Declare My Love To You

That special person …

In my 50 plus years on this earth I have never been jaded by love. I have been hurt of course, but never lost the want of loving that special person. I think every man and woman seek forever love and some achieve it and others that do not have it will always seek it out. I want to believe that each and every one of us want the one person in their life that we can say each and everyday, “I Declare.”

I Declare

I declare, that you are the one I have always searched for,
Touching hands and hearts I only longed for something more.

I declare, I know what is weighing heavily on your mind,
Wondering if our hearts beat the same and are of the kindred kind.

I declare, I see the questions forming in your eyes,
And your soul from previous wayward love starts to agonize.

I declare, that I will always do and know my part,
Of healing and soothing your hurt and bleeding heart.

I declare, to stand by your side down through the years,
During the good and bad times and the blissful and blue tears.

I declare, that I will never break your heart,
And that our souls no matter the miles will never be apart.

I declare, like the sun and the moon in the sky,
That I will be there and be your forever guy.

I declare, for better or worse,
I will always sing a song to you of a loving verse.

I declare, to honor and build your loving dreams,
To gather the endless light of the stars and moonbeams.

I declare, though sometimes I will make mistakes,
That I will heal us no matter what it takes.

I declare, I will keep our memories on our wall,
And in deep within my loving heart above all.

I declare, like the shadows of the night,
That I will hold you in my arms until the daylight bright.

I declare, that I will give you everything I can,
On this day and for eternity I am your forever man.

I declare, that when the silver lines your hair,
That it will be you that has my love, I solemnly swear.

I declare, until death do us part,
That I will love you with every beat of my heart.
