The States of Love
Tis not love that transforms us,
it’s love’s potential,
for within those veils of layered truths
lurks much pain as well as joy,
and it is a knowing heart that can navigate
the seas of love’s redress,
who can find the purity and beauty
within its being,
and to realize that potential.
Falling in love is a blind state of elation,
numbed of mind, afferent of body
and immersed in fantasy,
the flesh an exhilaration beyond compare,
and the flow of life, of procreation
a narcotic of immediate addiction,
and in that cloud, that denial of reason
we are lost, our surrender complete,
as love delivers us to our utopia.
The potential of love however,
is far from that romantic haze,
and lies within a soul where potential is seeded,
for one able to give completely,
unconditionally, without hesitation, and in that
the growing potential of any relationship,
rests on the pragmatic nurturing of harmony
between two souls, undertaken
with respect and freedom.
In unconditional love, potential is endless,
and in time and space it cannot be thwarted,
for it is the power of life,
fashioned from the spark of creation,
the very beginning of existence,
and that potential has no measure,
just an opportunity for a soul to open to truth,
and in the honesty of knowing,
surrender completely to its paradigm.
Love then transforms a soul,
delivers it to higher thought
and realms of being, unknown,
furthering this earthly journey of learning
to ascend in consciousness,
to glean knowledge and wisdom
once beyond understanding,
and for that soul to acknowledge
the true meaning in life, the purpose of love.

Your work always is so revealing in many forms. I have struggled with LOVE and loving most of my life, it’s only as I’ve aged that I’m truly finding more out about it’s deep meanings Tony. I try my best now to apply it in all forms of my daily life, I’m becoming more in tune with the whole concept of living a meaningful life on this plane. I don’t have many years left so it’s important to me to leave this earth feeling love in my heart. Cheers
