You Linger Still

You Linger Still …

You Linger Still

You linger still, but who will

read my verse in time?

will it be you, who holds me in

your high esteem? Yet hell knows

life is but a tomb, we all hide our

sorrows there within.

If I could pen the sincerity and

beauty your shadow casts across

my path, I would linger until dawn

with eternal joy.

You left me with such grace, your

age numbered so young, yet behold

the age that would come would only

say this poet lays in your rest.

The rage of time in antiquity and song

proclaims a stillness to my rhyme, and

like a child I mourn, lost without

you, for all time

As my parchment yellowed with age,

the crumpled edges folded and faded

over time, no scorn from this poet,

for drained his cheeks of color, his

tongue has spoken truths in his verse.

Vincent Moore

Vincent Moore pens his thoughts about many things and has a style all his own. Sometimes, he parties with words excessively and it becomes necessary to publish quickly lest his work be lost in the dark corners of his room or his mind. Vincent will lead you into mysterious worlds that are strange yet somehow familiar, worlds that will leave you unsettled and breathless for more. He was born and raised in Montreal Canada among the Irish, Brits, Italians and French. Point St Charles (commonly called The Point) was the Hell’s kitchen of Montreal. He played, cried, laughed and fought on the street corners, survival was an instinct and watching each others back important. Vincent left home at 17 to find his way in the world, failure and success he had plenty of. He studied the Arts and loved to draw and paint. Took acting lessons and envied those on the stage under the bright lights and hoped to some day become an actor, writer, playwright or painter. Vincent welcomes you to his world of mystery, fantasy and solitude. You can find a few of his writings in one of 3 books he's published. In Absinthia- In Melancholia and In Passionata.

Vincent it is my thought that you are the greatest poet of all time. Each and every piece I read of yours I feel the passion of your words. Hell, my friend your comments on other poets are masterful as well. You inspire me.

Well thank you kind sir, you honor me with your accolades of my work. I am simply a humble steward of my pen, I’m inspired by much from the dark shadows that have evolved over time in my life. I’m passionate indeed, but like you dear poet a slave to my Muse. You too have that eloquent gift and vision of your surroundings too. Peace and friendship I send your way.
