Another Winter of Discontent

Another Winter of Discontent
Another Winter of Discontent

Implored to uphold the spin,
to ingratiate beliefs and deceptive dins
of all the propaganda fed,
to the masses in the shadow
of those who reap the dividends,
as lies wrapped in glitter act
like a mesmerising ploy,
to quell the questions or interact with truth,
for it is their conjecture that keeps us divided,
fighting amongst ourselves,
while they suck the marrow from our bones
and smile we must as the privileged ones.

So thankful to be apart,
deep in debt and with yearning hearts,
striving for our families,
to one day be free of this tyranny,
but that is a dream unfulfilled,
as deeper we drown
in our troubled schools of thought,
never to know the truth until its too late,
till there is no truth left to sate,
just a blind man’s bluff of a life,
fed to us to believe our plight
is honourable.

And those on thrones, dripping gold,
salivating like paedophiles,
so entrenched in greed and gluttony,
their mere visage so vile and utterly detached,
no idea of the lives of others,
not caring or accountable for the souls
they so carelessly take,
collateral damage, a statistic, a fait au complet,
with no emotion to fake,
just a step in a long term plan
they make reality,
a finality they will not relent.

And we in our accepted captivity,
those walls that we help erect,
less connected than we were before,
distracted by technology,
sooner or later must realise the fate,
the cold stark truth of this life we make,
limited by the few, controlled and abused,
thinking we’ve got it good,
when the toll of loss is far greater
than understood,
as we fade in a whimper,
lost to a system that bleeds us dry,
a cold monotonous winter.

As difficult and trying a world it is we abide in Tony, we will always find a way to make our small piece of this planet livable, although we know deep in our hearts and souls that we are on a journeys end. The levels of governments around our world are destroying mankind, enslaving us to their whim. Power struggles have always been a part of humans lives throughout the generation, it’s just gotten worst over time. Technology will eventually destroy mankind. All we can do is tighten our seat belts for we are on a ride of our lives. Peace my friend. Very well expressed, your soul expressed fluently.

Much appreciated Vincent. I guess as we evolve in technology, the greater the problems. I know some of what’s gone on before us and still goes on in our backyard, galaxy and universe. Every time a planet gets to a certain level of technology they create war with another planet and so much is destroyed. It is the story of Mars in fact, warring with one of its moons, until the moon was completely disintegrated and that large seeming gash on mars’ surface, was created by large chuncks of that moons that impacted Mars destroying the atmosphere and civilisation on that planet. There are still cultural antiquities in the nearby asteroid belt which is made up of that destroyed moon. There is much the world does not know about, including our real origin. All life it seems or at least most of it, is much the same as humanity: we are on a collision path with fate. Take care my friend.
