Those Distant Calls

Like distant echoes, a call from future’s past,
voices of the eternal, forever seeking,
forever pleading, unanswered questions asked,
as if I know, can shine some revelation
some verification of their pleas,
when I stare into infinity with my own questions,
on weighted bended knee.
In a billion light years, hope and voices ring,
and although some of us hear them,
there seems no answer to anything,
just the pleas of desperate minds,
trying to fathom life,
the reasons, the purpose, the direction
we are heading in this endless path of strife.
Learning is a given, our kind with fault enough to fall,
yet potential that can guide us
to transform our ruthless urban sprawl,
and become something else completely,
in a brotherhood of being, eternal lives in transition
through acceptance and our gleaning
of the sameness of all life, no matter where.
I listen so en-wrapped, to those echoes so intent,
and wonder if one day I’ll answer what they’ve sent,
and in harmony we’ll reach out,
in hope and acceptance cement,
a knowing and in sharing
what in all existence is meant,
to ponder what we could all do together.
I still hear those echoes, I still aspire to know,
what blessings coming together
could for all of us bestow,
as life in every form has a common beginning,
an omniscient hand in rendering,
and this alone does tell us
what together we could show.
Like distant echoes, a call from future’s past,
voices of the eternal, forever seeking,
forever pleading, unanswered questions asked,
I know not as they, and seek their knowledge too,
so I guess the secrets the cosmos holds
will have to wait, for us to sate,
when we ascend to higher form.

The energy, spiritualism, kindness and love from all who can come together would be profound. Beautiful work, Tony. Take care. x
It would indeed Phyllis, Have a great day. Cheers!
