The Blame Game, a Misnomer

No matter the reasons,
what we choose in life
plays out in our lives as a consequence,
cause and effect the governing law,
and no matter whether you believe or don’t,
the truth of it proves itself time
and time again.
So don’t blame cause the buck’s already stopped,
its in your hand my friend,
and there’s nothing you can do about it;
so rave on if you must, accuse, blame
and exact revenge on all you think deserve it,
for the circumstance you think is someone else’s fault,
but then, you’d be mistaken.
Why are we so innocent in our minds,
always a victim of someone else’s actions,
I guess we like to think we are better than we are,
or that we don’t really need the lessons
that each consequence provides,
in any case the sooner we understand,
the better off we’ll be.
The direct correlation between the pain we suffer
and the learning we need is irrefutable:
if you care to observe,
and sooner or later we realize
the implications of our wrong choices,
and further we’ll stop blaming others
for what is obviously our cycle of learning.
We are never beyond reproach,
never that astute to not require a wake up call,
after all that’s why we’re here on earth, to learn,
so if you’re still here, you haven’t finished;
quit bitching about all the crap you go through
and put down the shovel,
cause you’re the one shoveling it.
Cause and effect,
it is a universal law and no matter what,
you just can’t bypass it,
so learn how it works, monitor your actions
and you’ll soon see how right I am,
and if you’re smart, you’ll stop blaming others
for you own circumstances.
Those folks you blame you have attracted
in the play of your circumstance
and eventual consequence,
you by nature have included them in your little play,
so don’t get huffy about the result,
its not their fault at all,
this is your gig alone.
