Beyond the Miracles Before Me
When the wind blows
and in afferent splendor imbues
with honeysuckle and rose,
when summer’s delicate touch
gives credence to the flow,
I breath so deeply to imbibe every hue
within this wonder of being, of seeing so true
the depth of complexity,
the answers that in my heart I knew.
And peace abides my soul,
my whole being alive with anticipation,
my machinations for the path ahead
so calmly viewed,
I feel a freedom unrealized,
a new mountain to climb,
no obligation, just filled with hope,
the scope of a better stride
to accompany my ascent.
The waters shimmer
in the golden gloaming light,
like fireflies amass upon the ripples
of a yet reflected night,
until that purple and orange meld
strikes the heart in wonder’s held,
and glorious that transformation
that yields such fascination
in a cyclic changing plight.
As a chill approaches from a fading sun,
and thoughts begin to wander
like that lulling breeze,
I feel so at ease within this place,
a mind open in life’s embrace,
and held so passionately, so nurturing
in its magically woven resolve,
I am freed from all my woes,
my worrying questions let go.
And as night draws across the ebbing sky,
as stars begin their nightly visitation,
like eyes blinking from eternity’s spire,
their fiery reminders of a timeless existence,
I stare into their endless depth,
and wonder of life beyond what was bequeathed to me,
given in the consciousness of knowing,
there is so much more than what’s shown,
what I can know in the miracles before me.

Lovely work, Tony, with vivid images casting peace and pleasure in my mind’s vision. The range of moods you are so skilled at rendering is amazing and all so captivating. You truly are a master poet. Take care.
Too kind Phyllis, and I really appreciate your kind remarks and support. I always get back to nature, the leveler, and even writing about it gives me peace. So pleased you enjoyed it dear friend. Take care
