The Deception of Those Who Rule
The travesty of media has, for a long time,
robbed us of truth deserved,
as bias and deliberate deception
clouds reality’s dim circumstances,
and we, seeing is believing,
just puppets to propaganda.
Few news services give unbiased
and unedited vision of news events,
as it is in real life, in time,
not contrived in a political ploy
or a device of some power gain,
to elicit support or reaction.
Lies fly like flocks of birds,
muddying the skies, and flowing
in all directions, uncontrolled,
until they find belief to instill the thoughts,
and ultimately become truth
in many eyes.
The world is now ruled by deception,
what we know is what we are told,
fed to us for a definite reaction,
an infection of propaganda
that allows our leaders to achieve anything at all,
in their quest for supreme control.
Reality if proffered
would no doubt blow our minds,
as truth is withheld, rewritten
and made up to fit their paradigm,
the means of their directions and the reasoning of any act,
in name of country and the common good.
I cannot believe what I see,
for so often it is make-believe,
contrived to allow pathways not chosen
but accepted given the circumstance,
which has also been created for the purpose,
our apathy, their service.
The world suffers because of this reality,
medical and scientific advances held back
to ensure current profits,
in a world where the people mean very little indeed,
and the few who profit from our struggle,
will never relent their greed.
I believe in humanity,
our potential to attune to higher thought and aspiration,
but the inequality in the world cannot change
without a revolution of thinking,
to rid ourselves of the narcissistic rulers
who keep us back from our true path.

This is such a sad reality, Tony. Everything we hear and read is manipulated to suit the needs of the powerful minority. We need a total overthrow of what is now an ingrained and systematic problem. It may take a revolution of some sort from the greater majority to achieve that. Well written and thought-provoking.

They can’t control the masses if too much free will is allowed Tony – that in itself is a terrifying visions. I hope that someday more people wake up and see the manipulation going on in plain sight
