Restored by Her Smile

She walks and the earth gently subsides,
as if pillows beneath her delicate feet,
and clouds form around her hair,
dancing in the dizzy heights
of her fair countenance.
And her fleeting glance
is a wave of warm embrace,
her heart as the sun in rich radiant gloaming,
and my heart stills, skips a beat,
a beat drowned in emotion’s sewing.
Her words are quietly serene,
her giving so free and gentle,
as her thoughts render soft imagery,
and an honest heart expressed
so unconditionally.
I am in awe of her form,
her beauteous curves and feminine allure,
skin so fine and smoothly taut,
her luscious flesh in shapely tune,
and she glides so effortlessly, as if floating.
Elegance is the clothing she wears,
understanding the color of her eyes,
her heart an open book rendering,
the pure extent of her fair complexion,
like an angel if they dared to be human.
Time with her is a blissful eternity,
and stills the earth’s spinning,
the moon’s luminosity just pales in her wake,
as her touch is so tender with love,
I am lost in her eyes, forsaken the sunrise.
Her kiss is so light, so deeply warm,
the world just silenced, receded, forlorn,
for here is life at its zenith, love in flight
and nothing more right than this moment,
lost in time’s flowing.
And when she bids farewell,
the sorrow of heart cannot be denied,
immersed in her guile, her beauty and style,
I fall flat for the want of her,
the pure exquisite love for her,
only restored by her smile.

Lovely poetry for the beauty of how a man sees what love is in a woman. Nicely penned, Tony. Well done.
Glad you enjoyed it Phyllis. I find the picture a real beauty, a face so feminine and beguiling. Funnily enough I met someone who had coffee with her in Europe. He didn’t get her name but she’s Russian. Cheers!
