In the Realm of the Astral
Where dreams and the physical intersect,
there is a realm of infinite awakening,
where neither subscribe
to the rules sided to differentiate;
and here in the ether abounds life unknown,
reality cloned yet expanded,
of danger, of bliss and seeds as yet not sewn,
beware weary traveler,
for here powers of extraordinary latitude,
make us prone,
to the sway of deceit.
Of body, yet lighter,
a flesh more spirit etched in the sight
of a wanted countenance,
yet fooled we may be by pleasantries,
when beneath malevolent wills may surprise,
and all is not as it seems, for the novice
amid awake and dreams;
and in this passage of being,
the seeing of illuminating revelations,
thoughts in colored shapes abound,
auras of life, beacons of profound knowing.
Movement is fast
to anywhere but a thought departed,
the limitations of the physical stripped away,
as breathing just a memory
when here unnecessary,
so take it slow and allow
the mind to grasp it all,
to accept this realm for all it is, in nature,
and know that the cord that connects you
to your body, will not break
until a natural death occurs.
Floating, flying and drifting
in the current of adventure is miraculous,
but beware the darkness that instills trickery,
conceals intentions by imagery,
and know that you are in control,
your wishes, place and setting
yours to hold, and glean what you will,
answers you seek
and realities unique to this realm,
where body meets spirit,
thoughts meet form, and in sleep we awaken.

Yes the astral plane. Where the mind once unencumbered by the functionality of.life, like breathing, is able to explore its darkest demons and deepest desires. You did a bang up job describing this realm. Excellent piece my friend.

Excellent work, Tony. Yes, in sleep we awaken – so true. I once traveled in the astral over Mount Rainier to show a friend where the 39 young marines were frozen in their plane when a blizzard took them down and an avalanche buried them. Well done Tony.
