Evolving Perception in an Unreal World

Evolving Perception in an Unreal World
Evolving Perception in an Unreal World

I think, therefore I am,
I perceive therefore I conceive,
but what I make of it all
is as unique as each star in the sky.

Consciousness is a two way street,
do we see what is reality,
or do we create it to see,
even if there is no understanding.

Perception is individual,
a viewpoint of singular reasoning,
where life is an enigma,
an unknowable platform.

Sentience is a minefield of opportunity,
with as many epiphanies as questions,
rising and falling our human path
as we learn and grow.

How we see and reason a reality
is based on methodology,
a process of deduction
that has nothing to do with truth.

Truth itself is never definitive either,
just a momentary conclusion
to a fleeting reality, that may change
as our perception of it.

Control is our desire to maintain ego,
yet our control, although portentous
is an illusion of want,
wrapped in the placation of denial.

Yes we do have control by degree,
yet what that brings us
is so often counter-productive,
as the big picture is rarely seen.

The weaving of life has purpose,
to learn from experience,
to assimilate with life and grow spiritually,
find harmony and peace within.

But the undulations continue,
the rises and falls meant to give us an intuitive edge,
a glimmer of possibility in life’s slow ascension,
our direction to realize potential.

In truth the physical world is an illusion,
a solid field of matter,
separated only by structural states and rules
we believe, thus real in our minds.

The dense matter of the physical world
is just a level of thought and expectation
that we adopt in belief, and so it is,
as we perceive it becomes.

Higher thought and expectation
reveals other matter,
other planes of existence presently unseen,
thus the conundrum of reality within possibility.

The mind is the only path,
sentience our guide to realms unknown,
and as we realize this truth,
our perception evolves.

Yes, perception is individual, as unique as each one of us. Here you get me to thinking a lot again, Tony. Enjoyed this very much. Take care, dear poet.

Glad it makes you think, we are so taught to believe in the limitations that need not be. Take care Phyllis.
