Despite the Losses, Deliverance

Despite the Losses, Deliverance
Despite the Losses, Deliverance

It’s never the dreams that come undone,
rather, life gets in the way
with priorities we are unaware,
moves we need to care about
for our own good,
never quite seen that way at the time.

We mourn the losses, the fallen causes,
but if truly wanted and attuned
the time will come for those dreams
to come full circle,
the loss only temporary,
if that’s what’s meant to be.

We blame incessantly,
this and that, lie or fact,
yet we’re deluding ourselves to think
we are the victims of some conspiracy,
the brunt of it falls on you and me,
our thinking the cause of it all.

‘What’s for you can’t pass by you,’
a saying that says it all,
as providence shows us
in what we need to learn,
before we can have all we want and discern
as necessary and just.

We can live life blaming everything for our failures,
but the only person responsible for us,
is us, the cold hard truth,
our thoughts to carry us
through joy and harsh reproach,
a ruse to think otherwise.

Life does not forsake us,
we are just a soul on a path of learning,
and the greater the pain
the greater the lesson to be learned,
and how we respond determines the experience,
in acceptance or resistance.

Hold fast to dreams,
for they can come true if we really want,
and obstacles are there
to earn our worth in following them,
as we change and evolve within life,
learning and growing, despite the losses.

Yes, we are always learning and growing, despite it all. ‘What’s for you can’t pass by you,’ I have found a lot of comfort in that phrase. Great work, Tony. Take care.

Yes Phyllis, its a wonderful saying worth repeating. It teaches us to accept the flow and not blame or push against what is. Sometimes we forget and the ego takes hold pushing all sorts of will and creating havoc. Take care.
