Dear Mother …

My mother,

Sitting here I think of you,

Across seas so far away,

Even then I know its true,

Without you, I would fall through.

Life would be difficult for me,

Breathless gasping for a little air,

I would be trudging along,

The material of life running threadbare.

Spanning across great distances,

I can feel your love, warmth, and care,

I know for sure my mere existence,

If not for you, would be a lifelong nightmare.
