Morning’s Kind Offering

Fragrant the morning air,
misted the haze of fallen dew
upon each leaf and bud,
orbs of crystal clarity,
diamond green reflections of love,
mirroring also a committed sky,
as life born to those first rays, awakens.
How still the dawn,
a currawong echoes its call into the chill,
but no answer attests the new days keeping,
the reaping of breath,
the perfect gift of being,
blessed upon a unique sunrise,
a fine painting of Mother’s deft hand.
And as golden hues alight the shadows,
as sun arises to blue surrender,
chatter masks the lonely silence,
and earnest moves of voice and body
ensue, pursuing all that matters
in the cycles of life so profoundly
written in dawns embrace.
As those diamond fields awaken,
touched by a warmth now taking,
those orbs do fade within the green,
and like tiny birds released
moisture in flocks erase the glimmer,
as shoots stand tall,
to soak up the morning nectar.
Blooms now attentive, do open,
one by one their colors stun the green walls,
a tall sky of vibrant blue,
now sharing palettes of vast array,
to greet the rising sun parade of life,
and joy is evident, tangible,
within this ritual of beginning.
I never become tired of this address,
nor lose the ardor of life’s sweet caress,
each day to greet our waking eyes
with such glorious abundance,
and in detail I witness
every tiny insect and living thing,
in contiguous flow of being.

Oh how I love the early morning when all begins to awaken. You describe this time of beauty with exquisite phrasing, Tony, and so well that I can feel that gentle coolness which is so fleeting. Beautiful work. Such a pleasure to read and let the spirit soar.
Thanks so much Phyllis. Its a pleasure to be appreciated. Take care
