Another Fish

Pisces, Another Fish …

fish

Like a penny thrown from the apex of the tower

The gravity of my passion grows in increments

At first it seems ambivalent, holding no power

But as its appetite evolves it becomes intricate

This love is relentlessly loyal to the cause

Of course it has flaws, at times it’s indolent

It’s weary of mistreatment, unheeding of laws,

The ones that compel us into being intimate

But there are times when it plummets like that penny

Faster and faster where the pain is significant

Like a runaway train I can’t stop it, its steady

Until I hit the ground and it shatters like innocence

In splattered puddles like rain come these endless tears,

The pain, the struggles, the last breaths of imprisonment

The crushing weight upon the very soul that I fear

The burdens carried each day which have consequence

That’s one of the many ideologies of the sea

See I’m a Pisces and we love hard, it’s immanent;

I am also that type of fish, that when it comes to be,

I will split my scales, be the one pouring the cement—

Etching those saccharine words for my own elegy,

Meaning I would die for you, I am munificent

I’m fiercely loyal, adaptive, an instrument, you see,

I can create or destroy myself, I am my own stimulant.

But that is me, I love hard, it’s my superpower,

And no one will ever tell me to temper it.

I jump in head first and put in the man hours

And like fireworks at night I am magnificent.

I embrace my creativity my compassion

It’s what provokes my decision making instruments

Though I am easily mutable I have passions,

Ambitions to give character with artistic diligence

I am aware of things as though they came from a dream

Heightened to the point of bordering omnipotent

Some say psychic I just say merely swimming up stream

Ironic in duality, the clarity is infinite.

Although the truth may hurt, Pisces do not deceive

Honesty is a tool we forever implement

Our motto whether basic or not is “I believe,”

In what is felt and not perceived as evident.

Though gifted with imagination and empathy

My curse comes in the form of being sensitive

I struggle maintaining my equilibrium, see,

So when I mesh the two, it will by my genesis

A very creative piece of verse here, Paul. Much better than just reading the daily horoscope column, especially if one is a Pisces. (Taurus here) Well done.
