Life Leads Us On …
Days drift on and on,
always something pushing them along,
life like an express train never seems to want to stop,
there seems to be so much to ponder –
days exchanging one for the other.
Is it my imagination?
or does every day
have something new to say?
The soul constantly searches,
for the peace, it seeks,
however in this modern world,
it more often finds –
chaos not peace of mind.
At times the bright colors,
which turn this world around,
turn to shades of gray
and seem to blend with darkness –
that bring storm clouds your way.
Where is the truth to be found?
The path through life,
just carries us along,
we do the best we can
and hope our hearts will find –
the contentment they seek.
Childhood was so easy,
it made life seem so simple.
Youth passes much too quickly,
but you hope to find –
the truth you seek.
Keep your goals always in sight,
remember who you are,
if you focus the colors –
will return to this world of ours.
Leave behind shades of gray,
do not be afraid of what they say,
the truth you seek –
is in the heavens above.
Peace will come to you,
as you blend with nature –
delight in the starry night.
So never be afraid,
to journey on in life,
always look to make your colors –
shine so very bright.

So beautiful, starting with the picture you chose. You describe life from the ever beginning to the mind, through to the peaceful placating of entering and being ones self. How often we miss the importance of younger years, until they are so far past. They are so very important within themselves and in the structuring of our souls. Loved this, Rasma!
