Learn to Love Again – Let New Love Inside

Let new love inside …

Here I stand with a heart full of love,

there you sit denying me.

Sure your heart took a beating,

left it bleeding,

but you rallied on –

though day by day crying.

It is still the same old song,

the words tried and true –

you had to learn to love again.

Then I came along,

brought back the sun,

now you tell me you’re too afraid –

of loving me.

Can you not see,

that you must open your heart,

let new love inside,

to completely heal it

and send the bad memories away.

Let me teach you,

for my love for you,

can hardly stand the rejection,

I need to know it’s finally you and me.

Take my hand,

feel my heart beating,

it now beats in unison with yours.

Sit beside me,

look into my eyes,

there you can see the truth –

there are no lies.

Let me kiss you,

it will open up your eyes,

your heart will start once again believing –

it will have learned to love again.
