Don’t be Fooled

Don’t Be Fooled

fooled

Faith in the process without promise,

A novice misstep in righteous province

Trust in “the man” is not being cautious

Like blind walks in the park with each prophet

You know one of them now is not being honest

And one of them thinks of your mind as so porous,

With your ignorance, they can only reap profits

and this nonsense is noxious to conscience

If Peter could get paid in pallbearers

No, I didn’t say that statement in error

But they’ll have you believe in those figments and letters,

This nonsense of contents like predicting the weather

The essence of false shepherds who condone terror

Where the wearer’s measures and endeavors are clever

Don’t get me wrong, I’m no oppressor for effort

Like the purchase of whiskey in the prohibition era

But remember, not all teller’s endeavors

Are meant for your pleasure, most are not treasures

But shrewd measures to make their pockets better,

Uncaring of the whoever’s or whatever’s

And if you break down their words and dissever,

You never find where they cared for you ever

You’re just a new lever they feather and pressure

‘til you relent to the pressure and gestures

Or succumb to all of their deceitful deals

And then you only live backwards and it’s evil

Not peaceful or regal or strikingly gleeful

But in your head they keep refilling your steeple

The cathedral where you curb all your demons

The mirror you stare at where reflections are lethal

And they sugarcoat it with such sweet verbal treacle,

Where those words that crept in your soul were inveigled

While your own Garden of Eden holds freedoms

In your mind between bars and these lines, is the reason.

The role of your soul in the forthcoming sequels

A soliloquy you had between you and your Jesus.

Among these mock divas and their clap-trapping thesis,

So grievous with sleeves up and hands on their pieces

They speak of their treasons egregious and fiendish

while claiming on high of religious allegiance

But faith in the process, the downfall of legions,

Adhesion to heathens defaming and preaching

A beacon of darkness now reaching the cretins

But what happens if now the process is bleeding

What if it’s eating the dignity since infancy?

Faith in the process, Right, in Simplicity

No not literally but literally

the litany of ministry is bigotry.

Yet, they still preach and they are still untethered,

All the processes ever wanted is cheddar,

By cheddar I mean dollars, endeavors,

to pressure your pleasure until you surrender.

And unlike the questions on your lips that have festered,

Or the moments that you almost censured,

But say you are still better, and that sweater,

With the loose thread, that you can’t help but untether—

And as you watch it unravel you remember

The splendor that ratty sweater engendered

Then for a moment you remember your center,

And the love you rendered with your wife when you met her.

With family encumbered, your sister, your better,

Your brother, your father, your mother, forever.

All they need is just one who’s accepting of tender,

To believe in the evil and that they were the lesser.

The cons preaching on, plague your wife like transgressors

Speak to her as if to-get-her together is together

And with pleasure they pester, and just like that sweater

Untethered in string piles, tattered and severed

And all that the ask of you in this letter

Is $29.99 a semester,

A pint of blood, an oath with the devil,

and the breath from your body, the measure.

…who has it better??

Beautifully penned in a rhyme-fest of phrases, emoting and slaying the truths no wanted. There are many false prophets, and all invested in the dollar. Tis we who suffer at their hands in life, our saving grace, our sight. Great work Paul. Kudos.

So true Tony. They hold court on our dollars, preaching falsehoods and spewing propaganda. They now are calling my home looking for donations to their cause. What a joke. It’s funny how the only media spot they can hold on TV is at 3 am on some random network that no one has heard of. Yet they still have their blind followers who are poisoned by the cause. Craziness. Thank you so much my friend for your kind words

Hate these people, now their groups are calling my home looking for donations. It’s so sad when people get lost in their mumbojumbo, it takes something drastic to release that hold around their neck. Thank you so much Phyllis.
