Candle Light Flickers Deep in the Night

Candle light Flickers …

Eternal Love

Candle light flickers deep in the dark night,
Illuminating sorrow on her face,
Skin like translucent alabaster white,
‘Tis the countenance of her aging grace.

Memories of dreams in loving embrace,
Longing for him within the candle light,
Together, so very close as love grows
In passion, when the melding of two souls

Becomes the only known moment in time,
When their two bodies are felt as one,
When rushing waves connect them ’tis sublime,
And they know this is their eternal home,

Where true love remains safe for all time,
And fears of the past are forever gone,
True love will never hold on to the past,
Instead makes loving memories to last.

She loves him wholly …

She loves him dearly with all her being,
For all he was, his kindness and loving ways ,
Loved him wholly even when he was feeling
Down, loved him with all his faults and bad days.

For she also has faults, is not pristine,
Yet he loved her deeply in every way,
This was her right path in life, her greatest love,
She had been blessed by Creator above.

She prays to always remember the best,
Of all the years of love, that he is at peace,
She longs for him, but, to let him go is best,
For, he now abides in the stage of release.

She has faith in him, he will find his way,
She stays true to her Self, here she will stay,
Till her time comes, she will love him truly,
Again in their next life, love him wholly.

I am an author on TCE and write mainly in poetry and short stories. I have always liked to write. It is important to me that writing comes from my heart and soul. When writing poetry, if I do not feel a spiritual connection to what I am writing on, I will discard it and go on to something I can connect with on a spiritual level. I live in the moment, I write from the past or beyond the veil. When writing fiction I go with whatever inspires me at the moment - it could be funny, sorrowful, romantic or sometimes done with the use of colloquial language from mountain folk or other cultural regions. I began writing content online in 2007, starting with BellaOnline - A Voice For Women, where I was the Native American Editor, Folklore & Mythology Editor, and the Appalachian Editor. I also wrote articles for The Examiner, Daily Two Cents, and Yahoo. I am currently an author on HubPages. Most of what I write takes a lot of research and I love it. Even if it is a fictional story, I will research for accuracy in whatever it takes to make my characters, their era, their location, etc. become realistic to the reader. I hope you enjoy my works. Thank you for visiting.
