Until Eternity Has Had Enough

Until Eternity Has Had Enough
Until Eternity Has Had Enough

As misted clouds glide silently by
and sanguine thoughts attest the sky,
as sun does edge with shards of light,
those billowing plumes of white,
my thoughts adrift in mellow pause,
wandering mind in beauty’s cause,
I cannot help but think of all I’ve done,
and all I would if time allows
the sun to rise another day.

Blessed we are in beauty’s keep,
embraced in life no hills too steep,
and potential in endless rhymes
sublimely vetted for you and I
to sate all we must,
glean our fill of lessons learned
and all we can discern,
for heart and soul to take control,
and in kindness follow and live life whole.

I watch birds rise into the endless blue,
sitting upon warm air
as the currents meander true,
to keep those outstretched wings aloft,
freedoms reflection upon that soft expanse,
the romance of pleasured soaring hearts,
and I long to see through their eyes,
the beauty below, bestowed on life
the glow of every soul.

As day ensues,
the arc of sun’s empowered shards
revive all life in rich facade,
yearning shoots of vivid greens
and flowers in every form and colored sheen,
attest the vibrancy of life,
its endless variety of texture form and hue,
moves the heart to know
how seldom we remember to see this show.

And clouds dissipate and form,
over and over so uniform in stature,
proudly skating a pond of blue,
like swans so elegant, perform,
and wind the maestro of this symphony,
in silence bares its will,
and life just happens then and still,
without one qualm until
eternity has had enough.

Thank you for sharing these moments of reflection with such vividly rendered beauty. I feel the peace of this scene, Tony, through your skill with word mastery. I love it. Marvelous work. x

Thanks Phyllis so pleased you enjoyed it. Haven’t got a lot of time because of the move but will try to keep at least on up each day. Take care.

Just take care of yourself, Tony, careful with your back and knees – moving a household is hard work. If you can’t find time to write, we understand. Rest when you can. x
