Rattle Your Cage

Rattle Your Cage
Rattle Your Cage

Rattle your cage often,
for the bounds you’re in is an illusion,
one orchestrated and maintained by yourself,
your thoughts and beliefs
the infrastructure of reality,
as you see it.

Neither truth nor lie,
your beliefs cast a malleable reality
that fits within the comfort of your thoughts,
and every struggle you endure,
the misunderstandings and failure
as the learning you require.

Never judge life on circumstance,
because you are the one who created it,
and just as you did that,
you can deliver yourself out of struggle,
and realize that change is your friend
and a necessary part of growing.

If life is still and not moving,
create change and move on,
for stagnancy is a life wasted,
and change, although at times overwhelming,
reboots our thinking and attitudes,
creating better understanding and our evolving.

Accepting mediocrity
is like hiding under the bed in a storm,
it gets you nowhere except instills fear
and thus limits your own potential,
which by the way is unlimited,
bound only by our thoughts and expectations.

Live on the edge, take risks,
for often a step into the unknown
creates brand new worlds of promise,
all of which would never had occurred
without a step of blind faith,
for life takes care of us if we accept it.

Rattle your cage often,
better yourself, admit defeat,
wrong doing and failure,
for they are the steps to achievement,
awaiting a mind of clarity,
an open heart and above all humility,
in our ability to learn.

I have often rattled my cage and taken steps of blind faith. I know that works, for I am happy with risks taken and have peace in my heart from great love. Your epistle confirms my way of life and gives me even more peace. Such great work from you is so appreciated, Tony. Take care. x
