Love is Stunning

Love is Stunning

stunning

Love is stunning, and for so long it fell apart,

Her passions and my cravings had remained unknown

I had a talent for reserving  the wrong heart

Blinded by desire and hunger, but now I know….

Light and Love encompass all, through the muted night—

the stars and moon find the exuberance to shine

The moon is a sculpture, its flaws so ivory bright,

It pirouettes with the midnight shadows entwined.

My thoughts eluding sleep beneath a timeworn tree

And I’m naïve to my world as it is closing

Confounded with love there’s an ache where you should be

And I burn like fire, hotter than any glowing

I wake each morning in simplicity and plain

And love starts anew like a dawning horizon

Where the firmament and Gaia meet again

The setting where I distillate both my eyes in

I reach out for you, with the utmost intention,

Knowing each brushstroke of your palm is a novel

If not I will wait, for that which I mention,

because frankly, we are worthy of colossal.

Head over heels, to fall like a building collapsed,

And hope that you would pick up my contemptible shards.

I hungered for love that gasped on pillows when tasked

I hungered for you, like the coals hunger to char—

To light a match from inside the void of my chest,

To boil the lakes of red that pool within my veins

To meet me in the wrath of love with sweet caress,

to worship me so passionately that it strains.

I’ll covet you, like it was torment not to try,

Loving you, as a bellicose hero I’ll play.

I needed someone to care for my butterflies,

Not someone who was busy swatting them away.

In truer love when no meager confrontations slay

I knew it when I felt empty without your smile

That I’d rather argue and fight with you each day

Than lust for another while in their arms beguiled.

There exists this telepathy between our hearts

Where just a simple fleeting look can make me blush

For so long ago I woke up broken; torn apart

Now I ache for you when you go, I miss you so much.

I’m in Love….

First of all…GREAT picture. Ah. that definition of true love, so hard to acquire, even harder to sustain. Your passions here sort through all the motions, into that deepest of deep places. Where the heart truly goeth, there is love of the most content. Excellent, dear friend of mine!

It is and the definition is different for all on so many levels. Sorting through the complicated weave of love is no simple task as new turns and roadblock present themselves each day. Within microseconds those paths could disappear and reappear. The heart wants what the heart wants. Thank you so much Donald for your kind words.
