Some moments leave us breathless,
when the heart is implored
and the world slips peacefully away,
as if a held breath anticipation,
one moment so effusive,
and explanations so elusive
to even begin to explain,
when the heart it touched by love.
No words can describe the over ride,
the simplicity of being within love’s ardor,
and how all woes cease,
all troubles set free in release,
just to relish each moment,
to be infused in the languid warmth,
feel every nerve and fiber resonate,
as thoughts are honed to love’s sweet reality.
Some moments are transformative,
where nothing will ever be the same again,
a drug once taken, an addiction to be sated,
when love tugs at our open hearts,
sight imbued by tender thoughts
and touch the heights of clouds,
sailing across eternity,
in freedoms esoteric design.
Beauty is in highlight,
kindness and compassion
a contiguous resounding,
when love abounds in human hearts,
and the world seems different,
in afferent displays of experience,
once dismissed but now embraced,
as life’s gifts are accepted completely in love.
Desire is like flames,
tonguing the flesh to groaning states of bliss,
and nothing else appears in love’s gear,
passion like the swell of stormy seas,
wet and thrashing life
squirming for release,
when love consumes the heart,
and flesh invites the excruciating anticipation of ecstasy.
