Problem Solving with Intelligence

Problem Solving with Intelligence

If we can find joy in living,
then despair is a depth unfamiliar,
and as challenges present difficulty
they are not at the expense of our demeanor,
rather an obstacle to be overcome,
our positive attitude a constant.

It may sound simplistic,
but truth is often elegantly simple,
and solutions to our pain and suffering
just a perspective not yet realized,
our judgement often the key
as to how we deal with life.

Most people respond to life
on the back foot,
and when confronted with a considered bad event,
panic and become defensive,
every aspect a burden and seemingly irreconcilable,
creating a barrier fed by our own thoughts.

In a state of joy, of appreciation,
we see things differently,
and when a crisis appears, instead of panicking,
we calmly consider solutions,
observing options with a positive perspective,
and magically, the problem resolves without fuss.

Perspective is a key to a positive life,
burdened by problems and obstacles, like everyone else,
yet the overcoming a calm
and straightforward process,
born of a joyous temperament and demeanor,
and maintained by a quiet and serenely peaceful mind.

Panic is fear, and fear gives strength
to what opposes us,
thus making solutions clouded in negative thoughts,
and the problem far bigger than it has to be,
but in calmness we may find clarity,
and obvious solutions to life’s challenges.

You are so right Tony – problems can be made much more difficult due to panic. Looking at the issue with calmness to better able to solve things is the way to a solution and peace. Very well written piece.
