The Price of Life

The Price of Life

Every life comes with a price tag,

it simply says,

you play, you pay

and we know that everything,

in every way counts for us in life.

Life seems to have its own,

rhythm and we must keep up with the steps,

of the wild dances that we do each day,

to keep our lives in balance,

while trying so hard to win all the prizes.

Years go racing by,

like cars at the Indy 500

or the racehorses at the track.

There is no turning back

and those who have no confidence,

certainly, have a lot they lack.

Count the friends you have,

remember the ones who’ve passed on,

treasure them for true friends,

are rarer than nuggets of gold.

Their smiles like diamonds shine

and their hugs make your day,

always say –

I love you my dearest friend.

If your life has passed on to the sunset years,

don’t let that sun set on you,

turn back the hand of time,

always be young at heart.

Live life like a grand carnival,

that goes on and on,

leave behind your worries and tears,

in your chest of yesteryears.

Remember that we both are still here

and you are to me so dear.

So let’s let our love,

lead us ever onwards,

smile an everlasting smile –

treasuring all the coming years.
