Of Love and Sharing
Love is simply home,
where the souls longs to be,
wrapped within the embrace of acceptance,
regardless of weather, despite
the tethering of past mistakes,
the masks we wear,
just the knowing that we are loved,
and in sharing, live in a better place.
Romantic love is just love gift-wrapped,
our hopes and dreams exacerbated by desire,
the fire that ignites our need to propagate,
the desperation to find bliss in life,
to know we are whole,
and supported in growth
to be all we can be,
in our every aspiration.
But love’s scope far outweighs romance,
far exceeds acceptance,
for it is all we are capable of being,
the best of us in expression,
and when we find love in our hearts,
for every living thing and being,
we transcend ourselves
and become something else.
Love has many expressions,
but there is none more powerful
than its spiritual essence,
the adopted paradigm that holds all life,
that cares and nurtures itself
to love unconditionally,
given freely and openly
in the eternal flow of creation.
We may pursue love,
feel its need within us,
but until we adopt an unconditional view,
our love is limited by the self, our needs,
until we find surrender within its embrace,
the grace of kindness that dismisses judgement
and discovers we are all as one,
facets of the same love of our endowment.
Words can be hollow,
love is always a kindness in action,
not of promises or deception,
but a perception and appreciation of the gift of life,
and no attesting can override the giving,
as love in all its forms
is simply living within its potential,
and in kindness expressing its reign.
